I asked Nathan a few questions after completing his first landscaping job from start to finish 🎤 It was great to hear how much he’s learned and the confidence he’s gained over the past 12 months ‼️ At the start of the year, Nathan’s goal was to get more experience on the digger and learn how to dig out and set up jobs properly. 12 months into their landscaping careers and they’re now running their own jobs from start to finish. 👏🥇 We couldn’t be more impressed with how these lads have conducted themselves over the past year, and especially throughout this project! At the start of the year, I sat down with both of them and we wrote down their goals ✍️ Luke wanted to be laying patios, and Nathan wanted to gain as much experience as possible on the digger and learn how to dig out jobs correctly. Safe to say they’ve both smashed those goals 🎯 This was their first landscaping project from start to finish, and they’ve done a fantastic job. Now it’s time to move on to a bigger challenge and continue building on everything they’ve learned 🧱 The best part is that this is only the beginning. Their attitude, willingness to learn and work ethic have been outstanding, and I’ve got no doubt they’ve got bright futures ahead of them in the landscaping industry. One of our main business goals this year was to invest into the younger lads and develop their skills, giving them the opportunity to take ownership of projects and build the confidence needed to run jobs from start to finish 🏆 Today marks Day 1 for Nathan and Luke as they take the lead on their own patio installation 🤝 Over the last year, they’ve been learning from experienced landscapers and developing their skills. Garden ready for summer ☀️ The team have completed this garden transformation using porcelain paving, creating three patio areas 👏 We rebuilt some of the walls and extended the paving area at the top. We’ve also added steps and then cladded the block work with the same tiles we used for the patios. From Inconsistent To Committed 🚀 Meet Aaron. Business owner. Father of two. Family man! Like most he’d trained on and off for years, a few good weeks, then life would take over again. No structure or consistency. Whats changed now is the people around him 🚀 From day one, Aaron stepped into an environment where people showed up for themselves, pushed each other, and made training part of everyday life. As a business owner, being around driven people matters. The conversations, accountability and energy all helped him stay consistent in a way he never had before. Team picture day 📸 It was great to get all the lads together and hand out the new uniform. Now everyone’s looking the part in a fresh set of greens! 🟢 Looking the part is step one in setting our standards, and we want that standard to run right through everything we do — from how we present ourselves to the quality of work we produce on site. We’re also introducing our monthly awards 🏆 which will come with a little bonus 💰 Grafter of the Month (Skilled & Labourer) Best Job of the Month This month’s grafter awards went to Harley & Sam 👏 Harley picked up Skilled Grafter of the Month. Since returning from time out with a back problem, he has been setting the standard across the board. His work and work ethic have been consistent all month. He’s a very talented landscaper, a real credit to the team, and someone the younger lads can learn a lot from. @_harley_ward_ Sam took Labourer of the Month. He sets the pace every day, turns up with the right attitude, and gets stuck in. It’s been a pleasure having him join the team. He’s also been learning a lot from Ron recently, and we’ve set him a goal of laying paving this summer — something I know he’ll absolutely smash 🫡 @gadsbytopv Job of the Month went to big Ron. This guy is a master of his craft. He’s someone the younger lads look up to, a real leader in the team, and his standards are consistently high. I was going to wait until we’d taken some pictures in the daylight before sharing the finished shots of this garden… but I popped over this evening whilst @nathan_.betts was doing the final clean down, and I’m genuinely blown away by what the lads have achieved. So here are a couple of early pictures 📸😍 Looking back at the photos from the start, it’s astonishing how much space we’ve created just by removing the hedge and adding the slatted fence. We’ve installed three paving areas, designed around how the garden will be used and how the sun travels around the garden. We’ve all really enjoyed working on this garden for some fantastic customers. The plans have evolved as the vision came to life, and we’re all incredibly pleased with the final outcome. 🎯 The customers are that happy, they’re more than willing to let any potential clients come and have a look around to see the standard of our work in person. 🤝 A massive congratulations to the team who grafted on this one — landscaping in winter is no easy task, but they pushed through and the finished product speaks for itself.
