About This Project
This was a sloping garden that wasn't making the most of the space, or the view behind it. We sketched out a design first (it's in the gallery), then got stuck into the groundworks, taking out the old concrete and levelling everything off properly.
The main job was a sleeper retaining wall to terrace the garden and hold the new levels, with matching sleepers used for the raised beds. Once that was in we laid the patio, put down fresh turf and sorted out the paths and boundary.
The setting is the best part. With the levels sorted, the garden now opens straight out onto the fields behind, so they've got somewhere that catches the sunset at the end of the day. The cat seems happy with it too.
